Celebrated in South and Central Asia including Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Turkiye, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan and other countries, Shab-e-Barat, also known as the Night of Forgiveness, is an important holiday for Muslims worldwide. .
During Shab-e-Barat, worshipers around the world gather in mosques to offer special prayers and pray through the night. The Holy Quran is recited till dawn and spiritual songs are sung during the night of Shab-e-Barat. Members of the Muslim community also follow the tradition of visiting the graves of their loved ones on that day to apologize to their deceased families.
