Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board and president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), has formally announced that the Asia Cup 2025. Tournament will take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 9–28. He made the announcement on Saturday via his X account, stating that the tournament’s full itinerary would be made public shortly.
“I’m happy to confirm the dates for the 2025 ACC Men’s Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates,” he wrote. The esteemed competition is scheduled to occur between September 9 and September 28. We anticipate an amazing cricket performance!

Eight teams are reportedly scheduled to compete: Bangladesh, Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman. With India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman in the final, there will be a total of 19 games. There will be 19 games in all, with the championship game set for September 28. The T20 format will be used for the competition.
India and Pakistan are anticipated to be in the same group, which could result in three potential meetings: one in the Super Four, one in the group stage, and possibly a third in the championship match.
The BCCI had refuted previous reports that India might not attend the event. Concerns regarding Pakistan’s involvement were recently aroused by a promotional poster that only included Sri Lanka and India.
But according to current agreements, India and Pakistan can only meet in the ICC or ACC. tournaments held at neutral venues, such as the UAE.
